Afya yako muhimu organization (AYMO) is a not-governmental women-led organization. AYMO empowers women and others communities  to enhance sustainable equitable and human development for Maasai communities through access to menstrual health educations, Economic Empowerment and maternal health and HIV/AIDS education.  AFYA YAKO MUHIMU ORGANIZATION was registered on 11th august 2020. It operates in the villages of Tanzania. The main aim of its establishment is to give power to people to decide and participate in development activities in our area and be able to support the vulnerable and pursues a holistic and participatory approach to community development. Using a bottom-up approach, individual people and village groups are given the necessary care, resources, and tools to become healthy, productive community member.

Afya yako muhimu organization  (afya yako muhimu) is a Swahili word that means   (your health is important ) Afya yako muhimu  is a local organization founded by Jackson Laizer who is a visionary, confident, passionate and committed enough to see maasai communities  sustainable development through holistic transformation by support a better future for all  maasai communities by funding programs that help girls and women and their families within their community. This includes through education, protection, healthcare, nutrition programs (for children), livelihoods support, community services or centres services. The organization was registered as a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious and non-profit organization. Founded in 2020 and officially registered on 11th August 2020 under registration certificate number 00NGO/R/1254, issued by Ministry of Health Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children. Afya yako muhimu operates in Tanzania mainland with the main office in Arusha, northern part of Tanzania. Organization is dedicated to bring holistic transformation, welfare and development of Maasai communities ,  of Tanzania by providing the preparedness of communities  to respond to disease infections and school dropout through reproductive health education and personal hygiene practice in Tanzania as well as to reduce disease sexual transmitted infection and deliver healthy.

Afya yako muhimu AYMO believe that Menstrual hygiene education, accessible sanitary products, pain relief, and adequate sanitary facilities at school, Maternal and child care, Free health provision, Clean water  would improve the schooling-experience of adolescent girls and women  and betterment of communities in Tanzania . AYMO also believes that  preparedness of girls and women to respond to disease infections and school dropout through reproductive health education and personal hygiene practice in Tanzania as well as to reduce disease sexual transmitted infection and deliver healthy baby.

We aim to create a healthcare system that is responsive to the healthcare needs of vulnerable populations. Our vision includes universal primary healthcare coverage, quality health information systems, and well-trained healthcare professionals in underserved areas.

We believe in a proactive approach to healthcare, which focuses on prevention and early intervention. Our vision is to create a culture of health in Tanzania, where individuals are empowered with the tools and knowledge to take charge of their health.

Our Mission

Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable populations, including women, children, and the elderly, by extending access to essential healthcare services. We believe that quality healthcare is a fundamental human right that should be accessible to everyone, including those living in remote and rural areas. Our organization strives to create an enabling environment where all Tanzanians can access quality healthcare services using innovative and sustainable health services delivery models.
